Types of Space Maintainers
Most are 'band-and-loop' designs that wrap one tooth and extend a small wire across the gap. For larger spaces or front-tooth losses, we use other configurations. They stay in until the permanent tooth is just about to erupt — at which point we remove them in a quick visit.
